Contacted by ECOtality’s contractor

The EV Project

The Eagle hasn’t landed, but it’s flying around somewhere nearby

We were contacted by the EV Project contractor which will be installing our EVSE. As they had not come out to do a site survey, they asked for some photos of the electric panel. We went out and took some photos with our phone and e-mailed them off.

We asked about the time frame that we might expect to see the installation, so the polite young lady checked her records and said “It looks like your car will be at the dealership on the 29th, so we’ll probably be out the week of the 14th or the 21st”. So it appears that they had more precise information than we did about the arrival date of our car. If in fact, the car does arrive on the 29th, it will be four days shy of seven months from our order date of September 3, 2010.

With the car due to arrive in four weeks, we really need to be thinking about whether we will lease or buy. There are advantages to both sides, and we will be discussing some of them over the next few weeks.
