LEAF gets a long-term professional review

LEAF rear three quarter

Autoweek to provide a 3 month review

Mark Vaughn, of Autoweek, who had a Mitsubishi i-MiEV for a long-term test last year will be getting a LEAF to drive around Southern California for three months.

Based on Mr. Vaughn’s Mitsu experience, and early comments that he has made about electric cars in general, we expect a fair review. If you have not read Mr. Vaughn’s series, we recommend it. When he had good things to say about the car, he said them. When he had less than favorable things to say about the car or the experience, they were also written about. His report includes experiences charging at work (and the issues with that) and charging at home using 120 volts (and the issues with that).

We made several attempts to get a LEAF for a test drive to no avail. Although we were told on more than one occasion it would happen, it never did so we chalked it up to Living LEAF not carrying enough weight. Perhaps when we grow up.

Although we said we wouldn’t write about every change to our personal delivery schedule, we have gone back a time or two to check things out. Yes, the date has fluctuated some, and as of today our estimated delivery date is April 1. We just hope it’s not an April fool’s joke.
