No Charge Electrons in Texas for LEAF owners

"No Charge to Charge" for New Nissan LEAF Buyers in Texas

Nissan partners with NRG eVgo

Nissan has partnered with NRG eVgo to provide new LEAF owners in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston Texas areas free access to public charge stations for one year. This network of stations includes 23 locations in Dallas and 17 in the greater Houston area. Also included will be charge stations located at the Dallas-Forth Worth airport and the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. The NRG eVgo network of charge stations includes 240-volt level 2 charge stations along with the more powerful DC quick charge stations to boost the battery more quickly.

According to Erik Gottfried, Nissan’s director of EV Sales and Marketing, “Adding one of the country’s most innovative charging plans to the world’s best-selling electric car is a clear win for Nissan LEAF buyers.”

Nissan LEAF deliveries in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are up 500 percent so far in 2013 as compared to 2012 making it one of the fastest growing LEAF markets in the country. This program will be offered to Nissan customers that lease or buy a LEAF between October 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014 in these two markets.
